I worked in banking for 15 years and struggled to find balance in my life. I was plagued by chronic health conditions that did not improve through traditional treatment methods.  In searching for an alternative solution, I stumbled upon a book on mindfulness meditation that truly resonated with me, so I decided to enroll in the Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction course at The Open Center in NYC. The next year I chose to study yoga at The Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health in Lenox, Massachusetts, completing the 200-hour yoga teacher training program.  I noticed that many of my chronic health conditions began to improve while I was studying at Kripalu, which I could only attribute to the plant-based, whole food diet I was eating. This reaction piqued my curiosity and drove an insatiable need for me to learn everything about how the food we put in our body directly affects our health.  I was motivated to do this not just for myself, but for my husband and three children.  As a result, I registered at the Institute of Integrative Nutrition where I was trained in more than 100 dietary theories and studied a variety of practical lifestyle coaching methods. Drawing on all of this knowledge, training, and my own personal experiences, I will help you create a completely personalized “roadmap to health” that suits your unique body, lifestyle, preferences, and goals.

I’m a lifelong New Yorker –  born, raised and now living here with my husband and two children.   As the daughter of a cookbook author, I’ve grown up with a deep appreciation of how food contributes to our quality of life.  After my own children were born, I spent so much time focused on food choices for my kids that I was neglecting my own nutrition.  I was also exercising so much I lost sight of the importance of choosing the right foods.  All the exercise coupled with a poor diet took its toll on my body and my mind and I simply wasn’t feeling good.  So I began to educate myself on the connection among food, body and mind and I discovered that all three elements need to be addressed together to achieve happiness and fulfillment.  This epiphany prompted me to start exploring the health and wellness resources throughout New York City and to build an ongoing vetted list of what I believed to be excellent choices. In 2012, I moved to Hong Kong with my husband and kids, where I was further exposed and educated in holistic healing and wellness methods found in the Far East.  I traveled to Japan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia and India and became familiar and opened my mind to new beliefs, cuisines and ways of living.  We moved back to New York in the summer of 2016 and I am happy to be home and have been busy exploring, discovering and continuing my journey of health and wellness in my hometown.
